BoreBuddy’s Modular Conversion bolt group comes upgraded by default! These come with a collar and chamber adapter, a hardened round firing pin, power extractor, and a 6lb recoil spring. No need to swap parts in the bolt for reliability, we’ve done all the upgrading for you!
Compatible with AR uppers chambered in .223/5.56.
The conversion kit comes with one 15 or 25-round Black Dog 22lr magazine, a pressure plug, and a charging handle insert.
When you “grow out” of the conversion and want to get into a dedicated upper, simply remove the chamber adapter, and you have a dedicated bolt group.

If you’re using an adjustable gas block that can be adjusted easily, we recommend closing it completely when shooting 22lr to keep the gas system clean and the gas out of your face. The conversion kit is a blowback action and does not require any gas to be diverted into the gas tube.

Great easy drop in kit! Works exactly as described! Perfect way to basically get the CMMG kit but fully upgraded ahead of time. Plus this BCG is black which I prefer over the stainless steel look of the CMMG kit. Of course it will wear eventually but it matches what I already had. Also love that one day when I plan to get a dedicated upper I can just remove one part from the BCG and it transfers over saving a few dollars. For now this will get the job done and save me money on the range for practice with my existing AR15. Make sure you check over all the parts they send you. Highly suggest taking the kit apart completely (but not the set screw holding the ball detent since that is not fun to reset) to clean, lube, and verify all parts were included with your kit BEFORE slapping it in your AR and going to the range. Save yourself the headache. Had a little issue with some missing parts but Bore Buddy’s customer service is TOP NOTCH and took care of it immediately even during the holidays. Things happen but they take care of their customers which is all you can ask for. This is the kit I am pointing everyone at my range to if they want a kit like this!
