Compatible with AR uppers chambered in .223/5.56.
The conversion kit comes with one 10-round nylon lip, Black Dog 22lr magazine, a pressure plug, and a charging handle insert.
When you “grow out” of the conversion and want to get into a dedicated upper, simply remove the chamber adapter, and you have a dedicated bolt group.

If you’re using an adjustable gas block that can be adjusted easily, we recommend closing it completely when shooting 22lr to keep the gas system clean and the gas out of your face. The conversion kit is a blowback action and does not require any gas to be diverted into the gas tube.

Excellent investment! I have saved hundreds of dollars from purchasing this to plink with 22LR ammo with my AR rather than wasting 223 or 556. Even my wife likes to shoot it. I did get the weight kit to go along with it but I found it was not necessary for 38 grain 22. Definitely get the bolt saver or even a few! I ended purchasing the upper to have a dedicated 22 upper and I love it. Noone can really tell its 22 until you fire it anyway. I may be getting a second one of these in the future for my other AR (pistol). I love the black finish.
