Description

Pressure Plug:

These parts provide pressure against the back of the 22lr bolt carrier group and increase reliability of both conversions and dedicated 22lr uppers.  Our novel quick insert design allows for one handed insertion and removal without the need for tools.  Simply line up the insertion slot with the buffer retention pin, slide the plug into place and rotate 1/4 turn until the pin sits in the slot of on the solid front face of the plug.  Removal is is done in a similar manner, pressing in the buffer plug slightly and rotating the plug until the pin lines up with the insertion slot. The part can be inserted either direction, but we recommend inserting the side with the hollow cavity towards the buffer and the solid face towards the bolt carrier group.

Charging Handle Insert:

Our innovative charging handle insert reduces malfunctions and gas blowback.

Power Extractor (with springs):

Our 22lr Power Extractor help your rifle to have better extractor bite and increased live round extraction reliability on a dirty chamber or with waxy ammo (Golden Bullets, Armscor, Wolf Match, etc.). Level 1: 200% extractor force, Level 2: 500% extractor force.

Super Strike Firing Pin (with spring):

Our newly released Super Strike firing pin for increased ignition reliability.  The back of the pin is profiled to center the hammer impact for longer firing pin life as well as reduced chance of out of battery detonation.  Turned on a precision Swiss lathe from carefully selected high strength steel and then heat treated to our proprietary specifications.  Includes one firing pin spring.

Bolt Buffers:

The BoreBuddy bolt buffer prevents the bolt from slamming into the backplate when the rifle is fired.  This reduces the noise generated by the cycling of the bolt and reduces wear and tear to the bolt and the lower receiver.  When shooting suppressed, a noticeable decrease in sound level has been reported.  Buffers are consumable and for best buffer life, standard or subsonic ammunition is recommended.

Adjustable Bolt Weight:

Our 22lr AR bolt weight system reduces bolt velocity, delaying case ejection and reducing the volume of gas and powder residue released from the ejection port, while eliminating the infamous 22lr AR bolt bounce.  The bolt weight engages our bolt buffer at the rear of the BCG, further reducing noise and harshness for a truly refined and reliable system.  With a weight, your rifle stays much cleaner, as well.  The adjustable bolt weight allows the bolt weight to be fine tuned (similar to tuning using H1, H2, or H3 configurations in a standard centerfire AR).

Recoil Spring kit:

Adjust bolt return speed and tune for different ammo using our 3lb, 4lb or 6lb spring.

The Reliability Kits are designed to fit dedicated rifles and conversion kits with a Atchisson/Ciener/CMMG/Spikes style bolt.  See bolt weight warning for Ciener bolts: Please click here for details

TLDR: Does not come with instructions. You’ll have to have a general idea of how things work. The Guides online provide enough info to get going. Lube is your friend. Suppressors can help. Have Fun. Worth it.

Recently ordered this kit, and when I first got it I was a little confused. There aren’t really any instructions, and the documentation and videos don’t really show HOW it all goes together. That said, I’ve built enough things I was able to get it figured out.

The information I found was enough to get me going, and the recommended info for shorter barrels was good. I put this kit into a 10.5″ pistol build, and tuned it exactly to the “Recommended” specs. The trip kit was probably the most confusing part to get installed. It would be really cool if it had some clip or retention device to attach it to the 22 BCG.
    That said, it DOES WORK!

I get to the range and first try regular semi auto. I started out using my Surefire RC3 flow-through suppressor. Shoots repeatedly without issue. I know at this point I got the trip kit installed correctly and the weights and everything are generally correct. I tried subsonic ammo and got a dead trigger a couple times. I then tried FRT and it did not work with subsonic. I tried some other ammo and at best got 3-4 shots in FRT before dead trigger.

I switched to my Surefire RC2 suppressor. I had the best results with CCI and Federal High Velocity ammo, but I did get it to work with others too.
Clearly I need to tune it more to get results with the RC3, which I may or may not do. This will work just fine for various training where cost savings is important, and with 22LR there’s not much gas blow back using the RC2.

One recommendation I do have is make sure you lube the rails, and the guide rod on the BCG when you get it put back together. I think that is going to help with general function. Friction is resistance.

Definitely worth it! Will recommend to my friends and help them get going!

I have a RTB22 upper that was having problem. This kit did fix all of the problems. I used the weight (heaviest), the light recoil spring, but buffer plug and the firing pin. (I already have a 22LR only charging handle, so no need for that part.) Eventually also the sear trip and an FRT. Why 3 stars? The firing pin broke after maybe 5000rds.

5000 rounds is our minimum expected lifespan and dry firing accelerates pin breakage. Contact us for a warranty replacement.
