22LR Hollow Pointing Die Kit
The BoreBuddy 22lr hollow pointing and accurizing die fits any reloading press with standard 7/8″-14 threads and allows you to add a hollow point, fragmenting point, or flat point to 22LR ammo of your choice. Running ammo through the die will correct bullet concentricity and increase the bullet diameter to the diameter chosen in at the time of order maximum for better chamber/bore fit and thus accuracy and consistency. Punch depth is user adjustable allowing you to tune expansion/fragmentation/Flat point characteristics to your use case.
In addition to making the diameter uniform, the nose profiles offer the following characteristics:
Fragmenting Point: Rapid expansion with 4 petal fragmentation at sufficient velocities that is enhanced by 1:12 twist (or faster).
Hollow Point: Controlled to Rapid expansion depending on HP depth
Flat Point: Consistent holes on paper targets, deep penetration. Potentially increased BC.

The packaging is phenomenal, pretty dope 3d printed cylinder that contains all the parts for everything, pressed out some regular to frangible in no time, pretty slick die, once again thanks for the quality products

The kit works very well, but I found one small problem. I tried the hollow point and fragmenting point punches on Aguila std. velocity, high velocity, and subsonic cartridges. Be careful how deeply you try to penetrate the noses of the bullets. I evidently tried to make the holes too deep and found the bullets loose in the case after running them through the die. After I backed off the punches, the bullets no longer came out loose. I could not move the bullets before running them through the kit.
Maybe another brand of ammo won’t react the same.

Thanks, guys, very well manufactured die unit. I have a brick of TAC22 solids which I intend to remake with the die. Money well spent, thanking you once again.

Very well machined Die set. I have used the Hollow pointing Die on many different types of ammo, and have found that it makes the bullets forcing bands more consistent and uniform to the bore. This has improved accuracy of some ammos to almost Match grade. One brand in particular gave me my best 10 shot groups in the .2s! I have also been resizing higher end ammos that didn’t do well in my Tikka T1X and the results were also impressive. If you are serious about the rimfire Game and want to find an inexpensive way to improve accuracy. This Die Set is the way to do that!!
