With a standard charging handle, my rifle experienced A LOT of brass over bolt jams. I purchased a CMMG anti-jam handle, which eliminated the problem, but it was like a plastic Mil-Spec handle with a small pattern latch. It just didn’t inspire much confidence. I bought one of these inserts to use with an SI Extended Latch Charging Handle. Snapped right in without a problem. It works perfectly, and can be operated with one hand. Excellent product, you won’t be sorry.

Perfect innexpensive upgrade. When using a standard AR-15 charging handle (Expo Arms mil-spec and Radian Raptor), I had lots of failures due to spent cases getting stuck in the charging handle channel. After dropping in this simple part, I have not encountered a single jam in the charging handle channel from around 500 rounds fired. Super easy to install, and 100% worth it.

does the job but constantly rides forward on its own. i dunno if it affects the cycling somehow but i know the installation says not to have the insert all the way up.
