10/22 Anti-Bounce Bolt

Congratulations on your decision to go Anti-Bounce on your 10/22! Here are some quick pointers to get you up and running quickly:

Installation:

Installation is the same as any 10/22 bolt.

Cleaning:

Cleaning is the same as a standard 10/22 bolt – wipe it down and re-oil. We do not recommend removing black the anti-bounce portion, simply use compressed air to blow the fouling out and re-oil.

MARS Trigger:

Install the Anti-Bounce Bolt with our charge handle or the stock Ruger handle with the original recoil spring, not the spring included with the MARS trigger. If using our charge handle DO NOT replace the recoil spring with the MARS supplied spring.

Use the original 10/22 hammer spring as well (not the spring included with the MARS trigger).  The reduced springs provided by MARS are unnecessary and possibly detrimental with the Anti-Bounce Bolt. We also did not have to modify any trigger components.

Rifle length barrels essentially shoot any ammo without any issues.

Shorter barrels will like high velocity ammo.  We really like Mini Mags, Cascade High Velocity, or Cascade 1500 for FRT with short barrels, it’s energetic and cycles well.

THE SEAR ADJUSTMENT SET SCREW FIX

On the trigger sear adjustment set screw, we recommend replacing it with an M3x6mm length button head screw.  Use M3 washers stacked under the head of the screw to get a solid surface to torque the screw down onto at the correct setting depth.  Our guns work best with 2 washers, but washer thickness, triggers, etc. all vary so you’ll have to find your own set point.

We drill a small hole through the plastic trigger guard to allow a hex key to insert directly into the screw without using a ball end from the side, which makes adjustment of the screw easy.
